Class Samples
Explore adding both bold and subtle color to both quilted projects and black and white prints. You can use your own quilting, or trace the elaborate feather panel. Coloring black and white prints is also easy and fun. Your fabric stash may abound with options, or use one of the woodblock style prints I have provided to you. Alternatively, I have a custom printed version of the feather panel available to you as a kit.
You will learn several painting techniques by transforming Inkense into a gel style paint. Use any of 24 simple flower patterns. Finished looks will range from a very loose color wash with embroidery to a finely rendered illustration.
If you enjoy a challenge, try either of the more elaborate painting projects on the project of your choice. Pictured here are the macaw parrot as a wallhanging and the octopus as a beach shirt.
Explore surface fiber design through both stenciling and rubbing techniques. (Stencils not included)
